This is the Day the Lord has Made
We greet the year 2008 with great joy and anticipation. This is the year, God willing, that we will begin to advertise CBUS around the world. The final touches upon various course materials have been accomplished, the goals we set for the year 2007 were, by the grace of God, accomplished and exceeded. The present student body is not just pleased with the course material but exuberant. Listen to some of these student’s comments:

A Modern Day Apologist
On November 25th 2007, Dr. Morey celebrated 35 years of Gospel ministry in the service of our Lord.
To commemorate this wonderful time, a new book was published by Christian Scholars Press titled, A Modern Day Apologist, which is an anothology of his works. It is over 450 pages, and in a limited edition hardback cover. A very small number of books were printed. All books are signed by Dr. Morey and have the exact book print number, indicating the limited edition.

Interpreting the Bible
One of the first books a student at CBUS reads in their first semester is Mickelsen's classic work, Interpreting the Bible. It is the hallmark textbook on hermeneutics and foundational to any graduate study that wants to do more than stratch the surface of God's Word. Students here at CBUS have to throughly read and apply the hermeneutical methods defined in this book.
For thousands of years Christianity has sought to refine and improve how we interpret God's inspired Word, and Mickelsen's work is crucial. He educates the student on not only the valid and invalid principles of interpretation, but also the various historical attempts from the 1st Century to the present.
Combined with Dr. Morey's material in the CBUS Hermeneutics class, the student that completes this first class at the seminary is on the right road to biblical interpretation. Mickelsen's work can be bought in most Christian bookstores, or online.
